What is Wellness? It is a word used interchangeably in conversations surrounding our health and health blog sites and podcasts. It seems to me, since Covid and Lockdown, people are more focused on getting in better shape and looking after their body.

My experience since Covid has been a deep dive into health and learning more about food nutrition and how my body works and getting new ideas to better serve my wellbeing by using self help books and listening to podcasts and taking extensive notes and reading many books. From all this research I have put it to good use,
tried things and made them daily habits.

Wellness is not just about physical exercise, however it is definitely a main ingredient for your wellbeing. My experience with physical exercise starts back when I was age 5 and learning to swim, which grew into a competitive career as an age group swimmer. This then led to lifeguarding and competing in USLA open water competitions. I have been a competitive runner and been coached to compete in marathons, belonging to three running clubs in NZ and California. I have also competed in basketball and played many years starting when I was ten years old. I have This experience has taught me how to manage my body, discipline myself to train and keep fit and
maintain a healthy dietary program to be able to compete
successfully. I no longer am a competitor but I still keep up with open water swimming, running races, cycling, and hiking the wilderness. I also daily meditate and practice yoga to keep limber and the healthy energy running through my body. I can help you with goal setting in
these areas to mentor you on a path of wellness and health but it is up to you! I believe in you and I know with the proper mindset this transition to a healthier, fresher, vibrant self can be your reality!
